    Responsibilities

    Provide high-quality patient care during transport between facilities with fellow team members.

    • Conduct patient assessment and stabilization, and perform necessary interventions.
    • Maintain quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and collaborating with team members and multidisciplinary teams.
    • Participate in decision-making and enhance operational efficiency with the multidisciplinary team.
    • Ensure completion of all required medical documentation.
    • Possibly operate an ambulance for patient or supply transportation.
    Requirements

    Licensure / Certification / Registration:

    • BLS Provider certification required prior to hire or transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics mandatory before hire or transfer.
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification required within 1 month of hire or transfer. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • Registered Nurse license from the Florida Board of Nursing necessary before hire or transfer. Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse in Florida.
    • Prehospital Trauma Life Support certification preferred.

    Education:

    • Diploma from an accredited nursing school and minimum 3 years of experience in ED or ICU, or professional licensure at hiring with at least 3 years of ED or ICU experience.
