    Description

    Title: Business Data Analyst Standard III

    Duration: 6 Months - Long Term

    Location: Washington, DC

    Hybrid Onsite: 3/4 days per week onsite from Day 1 currently.

    Client need candidates who can talk to users and document data requirements, and also worked along with a team as an analyst on implementing a data mart / DW. They are looking for Business Data Analyst who can understand and interpret Data from Data Models/Data Mart and should be able to write complex queries using SQL & PL/SQL. Understanding of Financial domain – Treasury/Accounting/financial Data is key.

    HM Notes:

    • Experienced IT professional working on large data and reporting applications. – Need to know how large the Datasets was? Someone who can understand and interpret data - Analytically Sharp.
    • Need someone who can read data models, infer data flows and write complex queries.
    • Expertise in Data Warehouses, Data Marts and operational Data stores.
    • Proficient in the use of PL/SQL.
    • Strong SQL Expertise.

    Skills / Experience Required

    Minimum 8+ yrs. of relevant experience and master's degree plus required industry certificates; or bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.

    Strong analytical skills coupled with capabilities to understand and interpret data

    Experienced IT professional working on large data and reporting applications as well a strong understanding of Operational data stores, Data Warehouses and/or Data Marts

    Strong understanding of accounting concepts, finance and economic principles and working experience in general accounting procedures and reconciliations

    Broad experience of middle and back office functions of financial organizations

    Excellent skills in analyzing data, gathering requirements and working with clients and technical teams to translate requirements into solution.

    Proficient in the use of PL/SQL and ability to read data models, infer data flows and write complex queries

    Hands on experience with reporting tools (like Power BI, SAP BO, Tableau) and ability to perform ad hoc analysis

    Strong project management skills with a process orientation and ability to leverage Agile concepts

    Familiarity in using agile tools such as Azure devops.

    Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals.
