    Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator

    Position Summary


    The Purchasing/ Inventory Control Coordinator performs all aspects of purchasing for the company and for managing the inventory, distribution, and control of those items for all company locations.

    The Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator is responsible for ordering and maintaining inventories, creating, and issuing purchase/change orders, maintaining accurate records for inventories and deliveries, researching, and negotiating pricing and enhancing vendor relations.

    The coordinator must identify the products that are to be purchased, identify the most appropriate supplier for the products, confirm all aspects of pricing, confirm all deliveries, and maintain an inventory control database.

    Essential Duties

    • Develop, lead, and execute best practice purchasing strategies
    • Issue purchase orders for procurement and expedition of materials and equipment for jobs Track and process all warranties and ensure credit is applied to the company account in a timely manner
    • Manage and track all materials & equipment inventory
    • Leverage technology, safety measures, and information sharing to increase productivity and profitability
    • Assist in settling invoice or contract disputes
    • Ensure compliance to procurement budgets and provide analysis of deviations Assists Supervisor of Purchasing and Inventory with the various purchasing functions Contact for purchase order inquiries and maintains working relationships with partners and vendors
    • Performs purchasing functions to ensure availability of materials based on company schedules
    • Develops and maintains good interaction and communication with vendors and system personnel
    • Performs purchase order, change order and transfer processes, including working with systems to rectify mis-shipments, damaged shipments and/or accounts payable inquiries Monitors the Open Purchase Order list and expedites vendor deliveries Other functions that may be assigned
