Position Highlights:

Clinical Expertise: As a Physician Assistant, you will bring a minimum of 3 years' experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery, demonstrating proficiency in first assisting in both cardiac and thoracic surgery cases. Your expertise should extend to endoscopic vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting.
Operational Duties: The position entails essential duties such as first assisting in the operating room, completing daily rounding in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and Step Down units, and participating in consultations, including patient histories and physical exams.
Anticipated Call: The role involves anticipated call responsibilities at a reasonable schedule of 1:3, ensuring a balanced and manageable workload.
Collaborative Environment: Joining a team of 3 Cardiac Surgeons and 2 Physician Assistants, you will contribute to a collaborative and supportive work environment, fostering professional growth and positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Current NCCPA certification.
Active Florida Physician Assistant license.
Strong background and minimum of 3 years' experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting.
Skilled in completing consultations, including patient histories and physical exams.
