Job summary
Obtains complete medical history and physical data on patients Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed Performs a complete physical exam records findings Collaborates with physicians in managing acute long-term medical needs of patients Orders appropriate laboratory diagnostic procedures Synthesizes data to determine preliminary diagnosis therapeutic plan utilizing principles of preventions Administers medical injections according to physician direction Sutures minor lacerations Evaluates advises patients regarding health illness prevention makes recommendations as needed Interprets tests examination results under direction of physician Instructs patient family regarding medications treatment instructions Provides patient education as needed Maintains reviews patient's records pertinent information Triages patient telephone calls provides consultations Manages medical surgical emergencies Must be knowledgeable EMR Athena Attends required meetings participates committees requested Participates professional development activities maintains professional affiliations Maintains patient confidentiality Performs related work as required
