- Completes mandatory annual Net Learning modules in a timely manner.
- Uses appropriate safety precautions.
- Supports the current Accreditation Organization, ISO, Federal and State Regulations.
- Supports patient safety and compliance goals.
- Attends departmental meetings per policy.
- Complies with BSA's Code of Compliance.
- Complies with policies as appropriate.
- Regular attendance at work as required by department operations.
- Maintains patient confidentiality and HIPAA at all times.
- Participate in patient care rounds.
- Perform drug utilization reviews as requested.
- Provide educational in-services to hospital health care professionals as requested.
- Provide at least 1 continuing education presentation during the residency year.
- Participate and lead a BCPS review course bi-weekly for the pharmacy staff.
- Attend monthly pharmacy and therapeutics committee meetings.
- Serve as a staff pharmacist 4 days per month, most likely every other weekend.
- Obtain an Adjunct Clinical Professor status with the Texas Tech School of Pharmacy.
- Complete required evaluations in a timely manner, both for learning experience(s) and preceptor(s).
- Travel may be required.
- Successfully design, carry out, and develop a manuscript of a major project within the first 4 months of residency start date. The objective is to present a poster and/or the results at a regional and national pharmacy meeting during the residency year. It is preferred that a manuscript be developed and completed by the end of the residency year, and publication is strongly encouraged, though not required.
- Valid Texas RPh license required within 90 days of start date
- ACLS and PALS Course Completion (May be completed after start date)
- Graduate of an AACP-accredited college of pharmacy.
