    Relocation Assistance is Available

    R*egistered Nurses for a 32-bed Cardiovascular Progressive Unit* in Tower 8.100 of Pavilion A. Primary patient conditions consist of heart and lung transplantation, post open heart/cardiovascular surgery and general cardiology. As a team member of this unit, the RN serves as an important component of the progressive care team. This team is responsible for providing continuous monitoring and quick response to both chronic and emergent medical problems.

    *Qualifications and Requirements for a Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiovascula Acute Care.

    • Active Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) license, Temporary Work Permit (TWP), Provisional License or active compact state Registered Nurse (RN) license that is in good standing and American Heart Association (AHA)
    • Basic Life Support certification for the Healthcare Provider valid for at least 6 months after employment date
    • Must be able to work three, 12-hour shifts per week from 7PM to 730AM ; will also be required to work some weekend and holidays.
    *The Cardiovascula Acute Care Registered Nurse RN primary responsibilities consist of:
    • Providing total, comprehensive, continuous and patient centered care which includes: assessing, documenting, planning, implementing, teaching, developing, and evaluating a comprehensive nursing plan of care; delivering direct patient care; ensuring patient satisfaction; training and delegating duties for Nursing Care Technicians (Nursing Assistant)
    • Supports collaborative efforts among the nursing staff and the team of physicians to increase communication and enhance expected patient outcomes. This includes utilization of the nursing process in conjunction with a comprehensive patient-centered plan of care, ensuring patient satisfaction.
