    Job Title: Experienced Dental Assistant

    Sandalwood Dental Care is seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
    • Conduct thorough reviews of patients' health histories to provide quality care.
    • Take and process x-rays, as well as other diagnostic assessments using advanced technology.
    • Provide chairside assistance to dentists during various procedures, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
    • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record-keeping.
    • Manage treatment room setup, supplies, and inventory, following OSHA and CDC guidelines.
    • Collaborate with providers and teams to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize office workflow.

    Requirements:

    • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
    • Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification (if required under state dental practice act).
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Access to minimum PHI necessary for job-related functions, with regular HIPAA training and data safeguards.

    Preferred Experience:

    • 1+ years of experience in a dental setting.
    • Dentrix or other dental software experience.
    • Dental assisting school certification.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged sitting and standing periods.
    • Lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds at times.
    • Availability for virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year.
