    Salary/Hourly Rate:
    $85k plus 5% - 10% Bonus

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Property Accountant to join our client's team in the dynamic field of commercial real estate.

    As a Property Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial transactions and reporting for a diverse portfolio of commercial properties.

    Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining accurate accounting records, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.


    Responsibilities of the Property Accountant:
    Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.
    Analyze financial data to assess property performance and identify areas for improvement.
    Generate variance reports and provide insights to stakeholders on financial trends and projections.
    Maintain the general ledger for assigned properties in accordance with GAAP principles.
    Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts.
    Ensure proper coding and classification of transactions to facilitate accurate financial reporting.
    Assist in the development and implementation of property budgets.
    Monitor budget performance and provide recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.
    Prepare financial forecasts and projections to support strategic decision-making.


    Qualifications for the Property Accountant:
    Previous experience as a Property Accountant within the commercial or residential real estate industry is highly preferred.
    Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi and MRI) and Microsoft Excel.
    Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
    Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
    Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively.


    Education Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
