    Position Summary

    Develops, plans and schedules proposals. Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications. Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments. Researches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts. Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings. Participates in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives. Participates as a member of the contract negotiating team.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Know and follow general company and corporate policies and procedures.

    Know, understand, and follow department policies and procedures.


    Estimates labor and material costs of manufacturing and engineering based on request for proposal of data submitted by prospective customer.


    Analyze specifications, including sketches, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts, and calculates production costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data.


    Report to work on time, follow instructions from supervisor or management, interact well co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures.

    Other various duties as needed or as assigned.

    Education and Experience:
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

    College Degree preferred

    2+ years experience


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    Computer Skills

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess basic computer proficiency and functional knowledge with applications and activities including (but not limited to):

    Understanding of Enovia, 3D PDF, and other software used to view engineering models.

    Microsoft Office proficient with MS Excel focus.

    Language Skills

    Ability to read and write the English language.

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

    Ability to write simple correspondence.


    Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

    Other Skills, Abilities, and/or Qualificationsrequired for an individual to perform the job successfully include:

    Understanding of Aerospace Aluminum sheet-metal fabrication processes, tool manufacturing, Titanium forming, Assembly structures and BOMs, and Machining.

    Ability to read and understand customer specifications, drawings, 3D models, GD&T requirements, and contractual Terms and Conditions.

    Physical and Environmental

    Demands

    Manufacturing environment may be exposed to noise levels, dust, grime. and heat. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
