    Randolph-Macon College invites applications for a Human Resources Generalist. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the qualified candidate for this full time, 12-month position will be primarily responsible for daily administration of policies/procedures and programs including but not limited to the following areas: staff recruitment and onboarding, faculty onboarding, maintaining the integrity of the College's Human Resources Information System and special projects as assigned.

    Essential Duties include:

    • Full-cycle staff recruitment efforts for exempt and nonexempt personnel utilizing the ADP WFN recruitment module to maximize recruitment efficiencies. Duties include working with managers on all staff hires making sure appropriate approvals have been received, placing job advertisements in appropriate publications/websites, phone screens, reference checking, scheduling interviews, benefit review with prospective hires, background checks, drug screenings (when necessary), and preparing and distributing hire letters for signature.
    • Oversight and data input/maintenance of Human Resource Information System (ADP Workforce Now) records on all staff and faculty to include new employment information, and ongoing employee information changes.
    • Collaborates with the Director of Human Resources on special projects and data analysis as assigned.
    • Oversight of annual performance appraisal/job description process to include preparation, distribution, and tracking.
    • Assists in salary and wage administration.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree plus three years of Human Resource experience (preferably in recruitment) required.
    • Professionalism, confidentiality, excellent interpersonal/communication skills, strong attention to detail, and effective time management and organization skills required.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel, Adobe Sign, and HRIS systems essential.
    • Experience in higher education and use of ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
