Description

The Process Engineer will play a crucial role in implementing new hot melt technology and optimizing current and future production processes in a dynamic, expanding company. This position will be instrumental in the startup of manufacturing equipment, with a primary focus on ensuring Safety, Quality, and Productivity are key priorities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for processes on dedicated lines Create, implement, train, and maintain manufacturing instructions, production process descriptions, and process data collection for safe, quality-oriented, and efficient production.
  
• Execute production trials Align with Product and Technology Development and Production, ensuring safety, design, deadlines, and costs. Evaluate trial results and document findings.
  
• Lead continuous improvement Drive quality, efficiency improvements, and waste reduction in assigned areas.
  
• Analyze failure management Conduct causal research on quality deviations, define corrective/preventive measures, and document them in the process FMEA. Support quality control with 8D reports.
  
• Build process databases Develop and analyze data (quality records, production data, SPC), and document/communicate results.
  
• Provide process knowledge Offer insights in written reports, and contribute to projects and capital expenditures to enhance safety, quality, and global competitiveness.
  

Qualifications

• BS in a technical field
• 5-10 yrs engineering exp
• Project management exp preferably PMP
• Hands-on engineer
• Process-oriented re: material as it runs through a machine (quality and efficiency)
• Team-oriented and understands that machine operators are a very valuable resource
