    Here's what we need:



    JOB SUMMARY:
    • Perform various duties in law enforcement including patrolling, investigating crimes, securing courtrooms, and ensuring all laws are upheld.
    • Assist in emergency situations and be prepared for unpredictable and dangerous circumstances.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Pass a Physical Agility Test for sworn positions.
    • Execute vital law enforcement tasks including running, climbing, and physical interventions.
    • Regular attendance is mandatory.


    When Assigned to Patrol Division:
    • Patrol assigned areas, respond to calls, assist with accidents, and maintain traffic safety.


    When Assigned to Traffic Unit/DUI Task Force:
    • Investigate traffic accidents, enforce traffic laws, and handle hit-and-run cases.


    When Assigned to Court Services Division:
    • Provide security during court proceedings, manage prisoners, and serve legal papers.


    When Assigned to the Jail Division:
    • Process inmate paperwork, resolve disputes, and enforce facility rules.


    When assigned to the Warrant Unit:
    • Research and apprehend wanted persons, testify in court, and assist other units.


    When assigned to the ADVANCE Unit:
    • Instruct students on various topics, prepare presentations, and engage in community outreach.


    When assigned to the Lake Patrol Unit:
    • Ensure boating safety, enforce laws, and collaborate with relevant agencies.


    When assigned to the K-9 Unit:
    • Work with K-9 partners in different scenarios, including search and rescue operations.


    MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT USED:

    Firearms, Police Radio, Speed Detection Equipment, and more.



    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
    Education and Experience:
    • High School Diploma or G.E.D. No experience needed.

    Licenses and Certifications:
    • Georgia POST Basic Law Enforcement Certification and Valid Driver's License required.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Must pass agency's Physical Ability Assessment and have knowledge of law enforcement laws and procedures.

    ADA Minimum Qualifications:
    Physical Ability:

    Requires physical agility and ability to handle stressful situations.


    Sensory Requirements:

    Effective verbal and written communication and visual acuity.


    Environmental Factors:

    Work in various environments and conditions.
