    McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston , a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time, Instructor non-tenure clinical faculty position in the Division of Medical Genetics in the Department of Pediatrics . The selected candidate will contribute to the department's mission to educate health science professionals, discover and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health through research, teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other services.

    Position Key Accountabilities:

    The Instructor in Pediatrics Medical Genetics responsibilities will include contributing to the clinical and educational programs of the Division of Medical Genetics. The candidate will devote approximately 50% effort to the provision of Medical Genetics services at Harris Health Systems, 30 % effort to Medical Genetics services at the Gulf States Hemophilia and Thrombophilia Center, and the remaining 20% as needed by the Medical Genetics Division. The Instructor will be expected to participate in all educational activities which include teaching students, residents, and fellows for UTHealth Houston and our affiliated programs with MD Anderson Cancer Center and Houston Methodist . The candidate will be a secondary backup provider for other Genetic counseling faculty members, as needed, to accomplish other Division activities like telephone teratogen counseling and supporting the Medical Genetics Clinic at the UTHealth Houston Professional Building (UTPB) .

    Qualifications:

    The selected candidate for the position must have a Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling and be board-eligible or board-certified.
