    As a Security Officer - Patrol Clearance Required in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintaining a highly visible presence that may help to reduce security-related incidents. You will conduct routine rounds, observe and report unusual activity, respond to requests for assistance, and communicate clearly with site contacts and your team.     What You'll Do:

    • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and the location.
    • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as appropriate.
    • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
    • Monitor access points and visitor activity as assigned, including verifying authorization, directing foot traffic, and/or maintaining sign-in procedures per site requirements.
    • Document daily activities, observations, and incident details in written reports and/or electronic systems, and promptly report maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and/or policy issues through the chain of command.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
    • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
    • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
    • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
    • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
    • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
    • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
    • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
