Full Stack Developer for a full-time remote position

as part of an ongoing contract with our customer in Silver Spring, MD.
Due to security requirements, all successful candidates will be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident and must be able to obtain a public trust clearance. The position is remote.
The Developer will provide software engineering and application development services to our client in accordance with their mission. Will serve as development lead or development team member on multiple, concurrent web-based, database-driven, custom application development projects. Perform system requirements analysis, application design, development, testing and implementation. Will develop applications based on user requirements including user interface, database development, and middle-tier application components.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:
10+ years of experience in application development.
Have thorough understanding of all aspects of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Must have experience working in client-facing projects and with end users.
Must have experience working on fast-paced projects with matrix teams.
Demonstrated proficiency in Java, JavaScript.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills is a must have.
Be creative with the ability to understand and work with complex and abstract concepts.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, related discipline, or equivalent
Minimum of 10 years of hands-on application development experience
Good communication skills in the English language – both verbal and written
The position is remote

Desired:
Solid Java experience developing web applications with it.
Strong understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS
Good understanding of jQuery and AngularJS frameworks
Basic SQL understanding.
Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
Good understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance
