    Insight Global is looking for a Construction Safety Manager to support one of our large pharmaceutical clients in Andover, MA.

    This person will lead the implementation of a site-wide strategy for employee safety and oversee contractor safety at the R&D capital projects being constructed.

    Implementation will be consistent with regulatory and Environmental, Health, and Safety Standards and policies in accordance with the client's culture and business needs.

    This person will report directly to the EHS Facility Specialist and work closely with the Capital Projects Team, Construction Managers, and other internal stakeholders.

    This is a lead/supervisory role in which this person will be managing programs and processes.


    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the daily implementation of elements of the Contractor Safety program at the Andover site
    • Be proactive in providing safety services to protect people, reduce risk, and to strive for continuous improvement in safety performance.
    • Responsible for the weekly delivery of the Contractor General Safety Briefing.
    • Assist with the incident investigation process related to construction and maintenance vendors, including trend analysis, metrics, and reporting to management.
    • Provide training on appropriate topics in an effective manner as required.
    • Assist the Facility & Contractor Safety Lead in working with regulatory agencies responsible for areas within scope, building relationships with these agencies, and advocating for and enhancing the reputation of the site with government agencies.
    • Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of Management Systems that support and enhance areas within scope.
    • Responsible for in field safety inspections and data entry into the Construction Safety Observation database, distribution and follow up on observations with applicable contractors/vendor.
    • Prepare internal and external written communications.
    • Leads the Job Hazard Analysis review and approval process.
    • Audits site permitting processes monthly (LOTO, CSE, Safe Work Permits etc.)
    • Coordinates and executes the authorization of required permits (crane use/lift plan, penetration/demolition, excavation, etc.)

    Required Skills & Experience
    -5+ years of experience in construction safety management

    • Lead/Supervisory experience
    • Experience performing monthly site audits (LOTO, CSE, Safe Work Permits)
    • Pharmaceutical or Healthcare experience
    • OSHA certified
    Nice to Have Skills & Experience

    • Experience in the construction field providing EHS oversight to new/existing facilities or renovation projects
