    Job Description Summary:

    The Senior Head, CFA Program is responsible for driving and growing total net revenue of the CFA Program among professionals and aspiring professionals globally and for growing core penetration of the CFA charter in institutional finance. This role focuses on understanding and positively influencing the candidate experience all the way through the sales funnel, from prospecting to successful completion of the program. As an advocate for CFA Program candidates, the Senior Head, CFA Program is accountable for mobilizing resources globally across the organization to develop and deliver the CFA Program by liaising with other Education Division functions, regional representatives, relationship management channels, service delivery channels, organizational enablers, and internal control functions.

    The position may be based in approved US states and will be eligible for flexible working. It will report to the Managing Director, Education.

    Job Description:

    The skills and experience required for this role include:
    • Develop and execute well-reasoned strategies for maximizing the overall value of the CFA Program.
    • Accountable for full global revenue and business development for the CFA Program, including pricing strategy, development of financial metrics and targets.
    • Negotiates with key internal stakeholders to cultivate the resources necessary for strategy execution, including marketing, business development, and regional Heads.
    • Develop sales forecasts for each level. Develop, monitor, and track key metrics, key success outcomes, and financial data. Ensure strong understanding among senior leadership of program status, strengths, gaps, and mitigations in place.
    • Responsible for granular prospect and candidate intelligence at the country, city, employer, and campus levels. This includes responsibility for constructing a thorough and robust database of prospect universities and the top employers to pinpoint sales opportunities.
    • Responsible for prospect and candidate outreach taking a holistic and data-driven view of touches to maximize volumes of desirable CFA Program candidates. Focus is on growing the volume of professional candidates near financial centers globally.
    • Responsible for testimonial-based and job-role focused marketing messages emphasizing the relentless innovation of the CFA Program and proven career outcomes.
    • Collaborate with Services Delivery to ensure skill-focused "front of house" web presence for the CFA Program.
    • Design and develop big data infrastructure to track candidate and industry trends, candidate feedback, employer feedback, and regulatory needs (e.g., SWOT) to diagnose successes and failures, and develop strategic insights.
    • Understand and enhance the candidate journey, including drivers of candidate recruitment, success, retention, and attrition as they progress through the program as well as enter into the profession. Track Members in the core profession to incentivize candidates to register for and proceed with the CFA Program.
    • Establish and maintain productive relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., Business Development, Marketing, ) to drive revenue.
    • Identify and develop key strategic relationships and partnerships with external stakeholders focused on driving revenue (e.g., market data vendors, Student Managed Investment Funds, societies, universities, employers, prep providers)
    • Serve as the face of the CFA Program for external stakeholders (e.g., media, public relations).
    • Organize thoughtful, consistent industry conferences for key influencers (e.g. finance professors).
    • Make day-to-day decisions to ensure strategy is implemented within the parameters of the business plan.
    • Develop staff through ongoing feedback and formal performance evaluations.
    The skills and experience required for this role include:
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience required in financial markets, financial services, investment management, and/or education technology, with specific experience successfully managing a key global product or program; CFA Charter strongly preferred
    • Proven track record of significant global revenue growth in education sector
    • Significant experience in investment management, marketing, and/or content development in a multinational environment preferred
    • Extensive experience of business planning with Fortune 500 environments preferred
    • Must demonstrate outstanding judgment and mature business skills with the ability to establish a strong rapport with other senior leaders across the organization
    • Ability to demonstrate leadership and influence cross-functionally to shape strategy
    • Experience reaching out to new market sectors or identifying how to engage and educate new audiences
    • Fluency in English required, knowledge of additional languages would be useful
    • Excellent public speaking skills and ability to interact with media
    • Must demonstrate outstanding stewardship and relationship building/management skills to expand the mission of CFA Institute
    • Deep knowledge and experience of financial markets and issues globally, conferring credibility with finance professionals
    • Global cultural orientation and working experience, in particular experience with markets in China and/or India
    • Ability to create new and unique ideas and proven track record of entrepreneurialism
    • Flexibility in competently juggling competing priorities and changing expectations
    • Excellent consulting, problem solving, and analytical skills
    Travel:
    • Some global travel required, up to 25%

    CFA Institute salary ranges will vary by geographical location. This role is being posted nationally/internationally and does not have to be performed in New York City. In compliance with the New York City salary disclosure law, the anticipated base salary for this role in New York City will range between $230,000 and $350,000. Salaries are determined based on candidate relevant experience and skills, as well as internal equity.
