Science - Physics Teacher at Montgomery Blair High School

• Summary Description:
  Under the direction of the school principal, the selected candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging learning experiences for students. Creating a positive learning environment that fosters all aspects of student development is essential for achieving success. Additionally, supervising students across various school settings, evaluating student progress, and maintaining effective communication with students, parents, and the school community are crucial aspects of this role.
• Certificate License Requirement:
  The ideal candidate must meet the Maryland state certification requirements for the relevant field of education.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  Applicants should possess a solid understanding of the MCPS curriculum, strategies for incorporating the curriculum effectively, as well as the ability to implement diverse instructional practices. Proficiency in utilizing technology in teaching, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders, and excellent communication skills are essential for this position.
• Education, Training, and Experience:
  Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in the relevant field of education from an accredited institution. Additionally, candidates are required to have either a secondary school diploma with a significant amount of industry experience in the field to be taught within the past decade or a bachelor's degree in education accompanied by relevant industry experience. Possession of industry certifications is a plus.
