    Description

    The Senior Development Engineer will lead and manage a team of 1-2 people which may grow over time, and be prepare to assume the role of CTO in the near future. You will have an extremely important role working alongside our current CTO to learn, lead and oversee all the firm's technology-related software and hardware initiatives to support the strategic vision of the firm.

    Demonstrated expertise and technical proficiency in a range of programs and platforms relevant to financial services technology stacks is required. Daily duties will include overseeing project management work associated with designing and configuring systems and networks. This also includes overseeing daily maintenance needs and platform/program coding initiatives. Evaluation of new programs and vendors and ongoing management of vendor relationships along with coordinating with Operations, Compliance, and Senior Management to ensure alignment with industry standards and regulations is also required.

    The ideal candidate will have five to ten years of experience managing technology initiatives in the financial services industry, ideally with Broker Dealers and/or Registered Investment Advisors. This person must be passionate about delivering the highest level of service, have great attention to detail, excellent communication skills and leadership qualities, and a desire to work in a collaborative culture where their ideas are valued, and teamwork is at the heart of our success.

    QUALIFICATIONS


    • Bachelor's Degree


    • 5-10 years industry experience


    • Demonstrated experience leading technology initiatives and software/hardware project management in the financial sector, with a track record of successfully leading and/or managing people and delivering tangible results.


    • Proficiency in a range of technologies and platforms relevant to financial services, including but not limited to portfolio management systems, CRM, trading platforms, coding and computing, data analytics, and cybersecurity.


    • Spearhead the design, development, and implementation of innovative technology solutions that enhance our firm's capabilities and competitiveness in the market.


    • Ability to think strategically and translate business objectives into actionable technology strategies and solutions


    • Inspire, train, motivate and manage a team of talented professionals, fostering collaboration and driving excellence in project execution. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.


    • Set clear objectives, track progress, and take proactive measures to achieve key milestones and deliverables. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and outcomes.


    • Maintain compliance with industry regulations


    • Actively participate as a member of Strategic Planning Committee


    • Excellent communication skills and strong customer service skills
