    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES


    Connecticut Children's is looking for a BE/BC Pediatric Intensivist to join our critical care team in our 18 bed PICU.

    This is primarily a clinical position, but the ideal candidate will be expected to be involved in other activities, such as teaching, quality improvement, clinical program development, etc.

    Our philosophy is to provide evidence-based, high-intensity, family-centered, compassionate care.

    The hospital has an independent pediatric residency program. We are also responsible for teaching Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellows and medical students.

    Position Specific Role Responsibilities

    Experience providing health care in pediatric critical care settings. Demonstrated teaching and leadership experience with strong leadership potential.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    Education Required:
    Requirements include MD or DO degree.

    Experience Required:
    Three years of pediatric specialty residency training.

    Three or more years of fellowship training in pediatric critical care. Candidates with experience or training in pediatric cardiac intensive care are encouraged to apply.

    LICENSE and/or CERTIFICATION REQUIRED


    Requirements include board certification in Pediatrics, board eligibility/certification in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and the ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Connecticut.

    BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support)

    ACLS (American Heart Association / Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
