Piper Companies is seeking a Lead Performance Engineer to join a flourishing federal contracting company based out of Hyattsville, MD. The Lead Performance Engineeris responsible for measuring, analyzing, optimizing the performance and scalability of web applications.

Responsibilities of the Lead Performance Engineer include:

• Analyze performance problems in complex applications and suggest remediation strategies.
• Work with development teams on architecting and developing large-scale performance testing projects, overseeing their implementation and remediating performance issues
• Define, develop, execute performance/load tests and integrate them with automated test systems (web client/server)

Qualifications for the Lead Performance Engineer includes :

• Strong background in performance testing and engineering of large scale web applications
• Minimum of 5+ years using automated test tools for functional and or performance stability, scalability, and reliability LoadRunner, WebTest, JMeter, Watir, FIT, FitNesse, Ruby or others
• 5+ years of SQL experience with ability to write complex SQL code
• BS degree is highly preferred
• US Citizenship is required for the role due to the nature of the work

Compensation for the Lead Performance Engineer includes :

• Salary Range: $160,000 - $185,000depending on experience
