    GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE FUNCTION

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    Knowledge of the Adult Education mission and HSE Testing protocol; experience in the community college system; experience working with community groups. AA degree with a minimum of two years full-time experience in a related filed and/or high school diploma or its equivalent.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include the following.

    Other duties may be assigned.

    Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.

    Answer telephone and provide customer service to individuals seeking information regarding AE programs and HSE testing.

    Recruit/contact students for AE registration. Maintain list of prospective AE students.

    Conduct the orientation and registration process for AE preparatory classes.

    Collects, enters, and reviews data for accuracy in the data management system (Laces) for the AE Program.

    Completes and submit monthly reports.

    Create and maintain cumulative folders for all students in a secured area.

    Create, print TABE test tickets, administer the Locator and TABE (Tests of Adult Basic Education).

    Administer the NCRC test. Complete and submit the NCRC WorkKeys Monthly Report by the 3rd of each month.

    Create instructor's folders for AE instructors at the end of each cohort.

    Print TABE portfolios and profiles reports for cumulative and instructor folders. Ensure that all TABE scores are valid before beginning class.

    Create class schedules for Smart Start. Meet with instructors to discuss which class to place student prior to creating AE class schedules.

    Print Students Points for Next EFL Report for Smart Start instructors.

    Ensure that EFL gains and HSE's are valid and exported into LACES.

    Attend HSE and NCRC examiner training and meetings, professional development and AE staff meeting as required.

    Monitor student hours to ensure that students posttest in a timely manner.

    Check LACES for expired test scores.

    Maintain and submit monthly registration sign-in sheets and TABE test rosters.

    Assist instructors with contacting students with excessive absences prior to existing them from the program.

    Provide the instructors with a list of students to be posttested monthly. Communicate with instructors regarding posttest dates and time.

    Verify the identity and eligibility of each HSE/NCRC candidate and assist testing policies and procedures and adhere to all guideline at all times.

    Handle confidential client information and records.

    Works as an effective member of the team to ensure the success of all students.

    Perform other duties as assigned by the appropriate authority.
