    Description

    Job Title: Fire Safety Inspector

    Job Summary:

    This is a specialized role involved in the inspection of fire rated dampers per NFPA 80 standards. The successful candidate will serve as a Fire Safety Inspector, ensuring that inspected facilities meet compliance with NFPA 80 and Remedi8's Training Methods and Procedural Manual (TMP-001).

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Inspect fire dampers to ensure compliance with NFPA 80 statutes and codes.
    • Complete Remedi8's training for Fire Damper Inspection as outlined in Remedi8's TMP-001 manual, and adhere to ISO 17020:2012 certification requirements.
    • Provide accurate documentation for customers' code compliance and reporting.
    • Maintain professional communication with customers and Remedi8 management and team.
    • Support other service lines as assigned.

    Requirements and Preferred Experience:

    • Demonstrate ability to review inspection reports and approve for client distribution.
    • Read, follow, and label Life Safety Plans (LSPs) efficiently.
    • Utilize tools and maintenance/calibration requirements effectively.
    • Follow inspection methods and procedures, recognizing and recording deficiencies.
    • Experienced in customer service and working with the public and clients.
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently with efficiency.
    • Effective record keeping and tracking of facilities inspections.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Efficient use of smartphones, tablets, computers, and Microsoft Office for daily progress reporting.

    Physical Demands:

    • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear.
    • Must be able to work from a ladder.
    • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
    • Extended hours, including evenings and weekends may be required.
    • Travel extensively.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Age: 21 years old.
    • Valid driver license.
    • Pass drug screen, criminal background check, and driver's license check.
    • Ability to travel up to 50% (local positions) or 100% (travel positions).
