- Conduct in-depth interviews and workshops with the client's product owner and business stakeholders to understand their needs, workflows, and pain points.
- Collaborate with product owner to clarify requirements and define project scope.
- Document and analyze user stories, ensuring clarity and completeness.
- Develop user stories that detail system functionalities from the user's perspective.
- Define clear and measurable acceptance criteria for each user story to validate successful implementation.
- Schedule and facilitate user story grooming sessions to prioritize and refine the backlog.
- Run daily standup meetings to keep the project team aligned and on track.
- Escalate any questions or roadblocks to the appropriate parties.
- Design and document comprehensive test plans to ensure thorough functionality testing.
- Execute test cases and document results.
- Collaborate with QA team to identify and track bugs.
- Attach QA validation documents to tickets for reference.
- Facilitate clear communication between the business team, product owner, and development team.
- Proactively update stakeholders on project progress and identify potential risks.
- Prepare and present key team metrics during sprint review meetings.
- Create a respectful and collaborative work environment.
- Pair with junior Business Analysts to provide guidance and support their development.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and user story development.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering techniques (interviews, workshops, use case analysis).
- Experience with test case development and execution.
- Understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proactive, responsive, and eager to learn.
- Proficiency in Visio, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and Jira.
- Mid-level SQL experience for querying and analyzing data.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Experience with testing methodologies, including writing test cases and conducting manual testing.
