    Responsibilities

    JOB FUNCTION:

    The Senior Account Manager will manage all aspects of the everyday responsibilities associated with servicing Post Consumer Brand's (PCB) Pet portfolio business at Meijer to create ""Win / Win"" opportunities to grow our collaborative business. Building and fostering a strategic relationship with Meijer is imperative by understanding customer needs, strategies and incentives while effectively managing time to meet PCB objectives.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Direct call on Meijer corporate and monitoring of Meijer retail activity
    • Meet or exceed sales targets through sales plan development and execution while remaining within the allocated trade budget
    • Effectively communicate and execute against PCB Pet priorities/objectives through the lens of the customer to meet mutual goals
    • Optimize and manage assortment to maximize product mix and shelving opportunities
    • Monitor and manage base pricing while developing, implementing, and adjusting merchandising programs to maximize profitable growth and mutual value for PCB and customer
    • Perform post event analysis to maximize future merchandising opportunities
    • Facilitate engagement with PCB cross-functional teams in management of the business to ensure strategy alignment, evaluate opportunities, and resolve challenges
    • Establish working relationships with key decision makers at all levels of the organization
    • Accurate forecasting and communication with key demand contacts
    • Lead and assist the Category Manager/Sales Analyst in business analytics both in everyday business and during Category/Line Reviews
    • Prioritize multiple tasks while working efficiently and effectively to manage time
    • Represent PCB as the primary contact for customer needs and internal projects
    Qualifications

    EDUCATION
    • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5-7 years of Sales experience in CPG industry; Pet category and Meijer account management experience preferred
    EXPERIENCE
    • Complimentary experience in other Sales support areas is a plus (Category Management/Consumer Marketing)
    • Demonstrated Skills Required: Leadership, Fast-Based Selling, Financial Acumen & Trade Management, Active Plan Management, Interpersonal/Relationship-building
    • Must be proactive and effective in Problem-Solving (analytical thinking, solution-oriented), Communication (written and oral), and Self-Management (prioritization, follow-through, etc.)
    • Strong working knowledge of Nielsen or IRI data, PowerPoint, and Excel
    • Experience and knowledge of customer data systems is preferred
    • Role is home office-based
    • Must be available to travel 20-30%
