    Job Description Summary:
    The Project Manager at the Center for African American Health (CAAH) is a pivotal role essential to our mission of promoting health equity within the African American community. This dynamic position involves direct collaboration with the Center's Director and team members to coordinate programs and initiatives aligned with CAAH's four pillars: research, education, service, and policy. This role also entails liaising and partnering with health stakeholders, contributing to strategic marketing/public relations campaigns, and cultivating revenue sources.
    Working within a team of professionals and collaborators across Kansas City, Wichita, and faculty and staff within the University of Kansas Medical Center, this position reports to the Director of the Center for African American Health. Works closely with the Center Director, Associate Directors, and staff to develop a variety of services and technical support.
    **This position works a hybrid arrangement. Incumbent will work on-site and remote based on a set schedule determined by supervisor. **
    Job Description:

    Required Qualifications

    Education: Bachelor's degree in business, public health, health administration, or related field.

    Work Experience:

    • Project management and grant writing experience.
    • Experience using the Microsoft Office suite.
    • Experience using data management systems and/or programs.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Education: Master's degree in business, public health, health administration or closely related field.

    Work Experience:

    • Experience working in an academic setting.
    • Experience working with Kansas State agencies.

    Job Duties

    • Direct initiatives and activities related to the enhancement of healthy outcomes including community engagement, outreach and service projects.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage the CAAH project pipeline.
    • Coordinate all processes related to CAAH projects, including IRB submissions, memorandums of understanding, contracts, evaluation, and reporting.
    • Manage and maintain the CAAH calendar, speaking requests, and engagements.
    • Oversee and update content for CAAH website and social media engagement across various platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram).
    • Identify, develop, and manage grant-funded projects, providing regular updates to the leadership team.
    • Manage the collection of data from a variety of sources to report on project outcomes.
    • Foster and nurture relationships with community, academic, and industry partners.
    • Organize and represent the department in scientific and community advisory board meetings, which may involve occasional domestic travel (up to 5-10% FTE).
    • Prepare accurate summary reports and presentations for both internal and external audiences.
    • Track metrics developed by the CAAH team to measure the success of key programs.
    • Act as a liaison with key internal and external stakeholders.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Compensation Statement:

    The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.

    Pay Range:
    $75,000.00 – $115,000.00

    $95,000.00

    Maximum

    $115,000.00
