The Manager, Assurance Services – Manufacturing & Distribution leads assurance engagements for manufacturing, distribution and supply chain clients. This role combines technical accounting expertise with industry knowledge to deliver actionable insights, strengthen client relationships mentor staff and identify opportunities to improve operational and financial performance.Major Responsibilities: Plan execute oversee audits for manufacturers distributors and supply chain organizations addressing unique challenges such as cost accounting inventory valuation revenue recognition for product sales multi-location operations Advise clients on complex industry issues including standard costing LIFO/FIFO inventory methods overhead allocation bill of materials compliance with sector-specific regulations e.g. product safety export controls Assess internal controls over manufacturing processes procurement inventory management order fulfillment identifying gaps recommending enhancements to mitigate risk improve efficiency Ensure accuracy of financial reporting related to raw materials work-in-process finished goods freight supply chain costs helping clients align reporting with both GAAP operational realities Develop realistic budgets that reflect the complexity of manufacturing cycles distribution networks Monitor engagement progress ensure timely delivery without compromising quality Serve as primary contact for manufacturing distribution executives plant controllers operations leaders translating audit findings into actionable recommendations that improve both compliance operational performance Coach team members nuances of manufacturing distribution audits including physical inventory observation techniques costing methods supply chain risk assessments Contribute business development efforts by identifying cross-service opportunities e.g. tax credits for manufacturing ERP advisory supply chain optimization participating in industry networking events Preferred ExperienceBackgroundSkills Bachelor s degree in Accounting or related field Active CPA license Minimum 5 years of progressive public accounting experience significant work in manufacturing distribution or supply chain clients Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP PCAOB auditing standards Experience with inventory valuation FIFO LIFO weighted average cost accounting standard costing Familiarity with revenue recognition product sales multi-location operations Knowledge operational processes in manufacturing production logistics internal controls Excellent written verbal communication ability translate complex accounting issues clear business-focused advice Skilled audit software Microsoft Office suite Ability recognize cross-service opportunities contribute firm growth initiatives One Firm To foster highly respected inclusive culture helps foster promote environment diverse equitable all team members firm achieve growth deepened expertise RubinBrown equal opportunity affirmative action employer qualified applicants receive consideration employment regard sex gender identity sexual orientation race color religion national origin disability protected Veteran status age characteristic protected law Accommodations available request candidates part selection process request accommodation please contact recruiter EEO Employer W/M/Vet/Disabled RubinBrown independent member Baker Tilly International world For more information visit
