    Nature of Work

    Working in the Office of Human Resources Management, this position will assist the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Officer with EEO and Americans With Disabilities Act duties. These duties include but are not limited to resolutions of discrimination complaints, ADA accommodations, dissemination of information to agency staff, providers, recipients and interested members of the general public. Develops necessary forms and complies compliance reports for submission to the Federal Office for Civil Rights and conducts compliance reviews of vendors and their facilities. (Day Care Audits). Creates and conducts civil rights compliance training and serves as the Civil Rights Coordinator for the West Virginia Department of Health, Health Facilities, and Human Services, the Office of Shared Administration, and their service providers. Enforces compliance for all mandatory employee management trainings.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Training: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.

    Substitution: Experience as described below may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

    Experience: Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional or technical experience in Employment Service, counseling or vocational guidance, or labor, industrial, personnel administration or community relations work involving problems of protected group members.

    Substitution: Graduate study in sociology, psychology, industrial relations, public administration, counseling and guidance, social work or rehabilitation counseling may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for year basis.
