Job summary
The Gym Weekend Supervisor is responsible for overseeing Saturday gym operations during rental and visitor group use ensuring a safe secure and welcoming environment by monitoring activities enforcing Protective Measures standards maintaining facility security and completing opening and closing procedures.This position requires strong observation skills reliability and the ability to respond appropriately to safety or facility concerns.
Responsibilities
- Facility Supervision and Safety Remain stationed in the gym office during rental periods to observe activities and monitor facility use Ensure the safety and security of all participants visitors and property Enforce Protective Measures guidelines report any concerns or incidents promptly Conduct hourly perimeter checks including gym floor locker rooms bathrooms surrounding areas Clean equipment common areas after use Report maintenance safety hazards issues to supervisor Serve as visible representative of The Salvation Army Communicate clearly professionally with groups staff supervisors Complete required documentation reports related to incidents safety concerns facility issues Physical Requirements Ability lift up to pounds Walk stand sit extended periods Perform basic cleaning inspection tasks Working Conditions Work performed indoors within gym facilities Position primarily weekend-based on-call hours dependent scheduled rentals Miscellaneous Candidate chosen pass criminal history information check Conviction crime preclude employment Circumstances involved conviction considered Qualified individuals must perform essential duties with accommodation qualified person disability request modification adjustment meet physical requirements position A qualified person may request modify work environment accommodate physical needs The Salvation Army will attempt satisfy requests long reasonable undue hardship result Education And Work Experience High School Diploma GED required Previous experience preferred familiar Salvation Army programs plus Must complete Protective Measures training Supervisor Lindsay Klein
