    Job Description

    American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of trauma and OR experience for a hospital-based assignment requiring ARRT certification and MI state license.

    Responsibilities
    Hospital-based position in a diagnostic radiology department
    Assignment in ER or OR with responsibilities for portable imaging
    Serving both young and geriatric patient populations
    Exposure to level I or II trauma cases required
    Use of equipment includes GE, Carestream, and OEC C-Arms
    Work schedule is five 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with every other weekend rotation
    No call or block scheduling required
    Experience with Cerner EMR required; Epic is not used
    May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
    Must complete and pass online modules prior to start during onsite onboarding
    Responsible for explaining procedures, preparing patients and procedure rooms, and performing radiologic imaging according to protocols
    Must follow principles of radiation protection and infection control practices
    Duties include reviewing clinical data, positioning patients, administering contrast, and monitoring for adverse reactions
    Expected to document all imaging and related information in both PACS and RIS systems
    Will be involved in training new hires or students as needed
    Must demonstrate strong teamwork, flexibility, customer service, and respect for diversity
    COVID vaccine is required
    Personal protective equipment and adherence to safety standards are necessary due to possible exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and contagious patients
    Physical ability to occasionally lift and move equipment or patients exceeding 10 lbs is needed
    Every other weekend work required

    Requirements
    Active Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification required
    Active Michigan state radiology license required if applicable
    Current AHA BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification required
    Minimum of 2 years recent experience in radiology, including trauma and OR settings
    High school diploma or GED required
    Experience with Cerner EMR and specified imaging equipment
