- Using steel, lumber and insulation, perform final assembly of products.
- Lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.
- Cut lumber and insulation to size for final assembly.
- Follow the job schedule provided by the Plant Manager and Shift Foreman.
- Assist fabricators with layout and fabrication of jobs.
- Cut and assemble skids for shipping of assembled products.
- Responsible for reporting concerns, issues, and material shortages, in a timely fashion.
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Follow safety procedures at all times.
- Assist fabricators in the correct set-up and operation of equipment.
- Load/unload shipments quickly and safely.
- Safely operate powered pallet jacks (training and certification provided).
- Maintain a neat and orderly assembly area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Foreman.
- Must be able to safely use hand tools and power tools (Nail Gun / Cordless Drill / Saw).
- Some relevant experience in the metal fabricating industry.
- Knowledge of safety and operation issues related to the metal fabricating industry.
- Ability to think and work independently
- Must be able to safely use table and band saws.
- Knowledge/ability to do basic shop math.
- High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
