    Job Title:

    Infusion Nurse


    Summary:

    We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Infusion Nurse to join our team. As an integral member of our pharmacy, you will provide high-quality patient care while working in a fast-paced environment.


    Responsibilities:

    • Provide safe and direct nursing care to patients, including complete assessments, implementation of physician orders, and education on infused biologic medications.
    • Document patient care information in a timely manner.
    • Manage patient needs independently and effectively utilize time management skills in a dynamic setting.
    • Mix and prepare drugs for safe administration.
    • Assist with ordering infusion supplies and medications.
    • Collaborate with various personality types, assist with training per diem nurses, and support Infusion Coordinators as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in acute or clinical settings involving infusion therapy, ambulatory infusion, and/or home infusion environments.
    • Strong venous access skills, including PIV placement and care.
    • Proficient in central line skills (ports, PICC lines, midlines), accessing, lab draws, and dressing changes.
    • Stay current with infused biologic medications and infusion practices.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in Sigma Spectrum and B-Braun infusion pumps.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and patient contact skills.
    • Ability to work under minimal supervision and remain calm in stressful situations.

    Education and Certification:

    • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or Associates Degree in Nursing.
    • Current active state license.
    • Current CPR certification.
