    Description
    Product Strategy is building a competitive intelligence program for Infrastructure. A successful candidate will assist in building this program by helping to identify and onboard new vendors, supporting quality control of new data, and conducting analyses with the new data. The candidate will help identify relevant signals, develop KPIs/metrics, and synthesize the main insights into monthly competitive intelligence updates to leadership (with support from the PS team). This role will require strong communication skills, as we'll work closely with our infrastructure stakeholders to interpret the data and extract the main insights.
    Job Responsibilities:
    • Identify data sources, navigate the vendor procurement process, and run quality checks on new data sources (with support from the PS team).
    • Identify relevant signals embedded in the data and develop the right metrics/ KPIs to track on an ongoing basis.
    • Synthesize monthly competitive intelligence updates based on the identified data sources, qualitative insights (e.g., announcements), and internal insights.
    • Assist with ad hoc analyses for the PS Infra/Monetization team when specific, targeted questions need to be addressed.
    Requirements:
    • 3+ years in a role requiring data analytics (business analytics, data science, consulting, BizOps, etc).
    • The high degree of analytical rigor and ability to work with complex, ambiguous, and unstructured data (i.e., triangulating between different data sources, spotting outliers/ inconsistencies, -formulating hypotheses explaining the data, etc).
    • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and basic SQL.
    • Ability to structure and build summaries/ storylines when given guidance from more senior team members.
    • Comfortable working in large cross-functional organizations.
    Nice-to-have:
    • Experience in (data center) infrastructure.
    • Experience with building dashboards.

    Additional Responsibilities:
    • Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts.
    • Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
    • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
    • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
