Technical Staffing Resources has a long-term contract position for a Materials Specialist/Field Expeditor to work at a client site in Marshall, MN.

Summary or Responsibilities

Administers production control, inventory control, shipping and receiving of materials
Checks parts and materials for damage and verifies quantity, part number, and serial number of shipped items
Records and prepares status reports of requested and received items
Performs all aspects of expediting for small to medium-sized projects
Coordinates expediting activities, reports on and takes appropriate action on supplier slippages which have an impact on the project schedule, reviews purchase orders for expediting requirements, seeks solutions to technical problems, reviews reports to clarify misunderstandings, monitors client changes, informs superiors of delivery status
Develops core competencies with existing procedures by solving standard problems
Requirements
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years of experience
Good written and verbal communication skills
Must have the ability to work in a team environment
