    About this Opportunity:

    The Operations Intern will have the opportunity to gain firsthand experience with mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals in the industry, networking opportunities with professionals across different departments, and potential for career opportunities within the company based on performance and availability. The Internship will provide exposure to various aspects of operations, including customer service, purchasing, inventory management, warehouse operations, and executive management. The position will consist of rotations between these departments, providing a comprehensive understanding of our operations and business processes. Position reports to and works with the Vice President of Operations.

    Location:

    Womack Group is headquartered in Farmers Branch, TX with additional offices in TX, UT, AL, AZ, MT, OK, MA, MI IN, IL, OH and Canada. This position will be based out of our Auburn Hills, MI facility.

    Requirements:

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To achieve this job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each primary duty satisfactorily.

    · Assist customer service team in addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring elevated levels of customer satisfaction.

    · Support purchasing department in sourcing vendors, obtaining quotes, and processing purchase orders.

    · Aid with inventory management to include stock replenishment and inventory analysis.

    · Gain exposure to warehouse operations by assisting with receiving, picking, packing, cycle counting, and shipping activities.

    · Attend meetings and projects with executive management to gain insight into strategic decision-making and business operations.

    · Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and initiatives to drive operational excellence and efficiency.

    QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required. An individual must meet the minimum requirements as listed in each Qualifications subsection.

    EDUCATION:

    · Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

    EXPERIENCE:

    · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.

    SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the intelligence to analyze data and draw meaningful insights.

    · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to work effectively in a team environment.

    · Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

    · Initiative-taking, self-motivated, and eager to learn with a positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
