    Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

    The Director II Compliance is responsible for directing foundational and strategic compliance responsibilities with consistent excellence that support the team and management. This position will provide compliance support to Carelon Global Solutions (CGS) and Carelon Digital Platforms (CDP) Compliance Program that incorporates the seven components of a successful Compliance program, which includes having dedicated resources to provide compliance support and oversight on the business stakeholder. The Director II Compliance will support the leadership team and own compliance across a number of disciplines, including but not limited to: Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Anti Bribery/Anti-Corruption, HIPAA Compliance; Local and Federal Regulatory Compliance; Commercial and Specialty, Medicaid and Medicare Compliance; Finance; Procurement; Corporate Governance; and Human Resources.

    How you will make an impact:
    • Be the Compliance lead and subject matter expert for CGS and CDP Compliance Program including offshore governance reviews and approvals.
    • Directs programs with advanced layers, objectives, tasks, stakeholders, requirements; creates policies, procedures and tools needed to operate daily function of program; manage/oversee/influence resources impacting projects or programs from matrixed organizations under different leadership.
    • Manages or lead advanced compliance monitoring.
    • Maintain knowledge of US Federal, State, international, and specific local/country regulations, company strategies to assess impact, and consult with clients as a subject matter expert.
    • Conduct investigations, reviews documents, and enforces corrective actions.
    • Schedule, administrate, and facilitate Compliance Committee meetings, which includes the review of business stakeholder presentations, risk and issue management, and accountability for action items to remediate risks or issues.
    • Manage or oversee projects, initiatives, regulatory audits or exams, internal audits, accreditations, on-site reviews, risk assessments; and assist in audit readiness.
    • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
    Minimum Requirements:
    • Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 10 years health care, regulatory, ethics, compliance or privacy experience, including minimum of 5 years management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
    • Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary
    Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
    • Strong leadership/managerial skills and ability to motivate/coach other staff strongly preferred.
    • MS/MBA/JD or professional designation preferred.
    • Global Compliance Experience Preferred
