    Description

    Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, Missouri is looking for a Pathology Assistant to join the team at Laboratory Services in the Pathology Department. The Pathology Department is responsible for preparing and processing tissue specimens for microscopic evaluation in a timely fashion, supporting the Pathologists in their work. The working environment is fast-paced and you will have the chance to collaborate with a skilled and supportive team of professionals.



    What you'll do:
    - Perform gross dissection and dictation of surgical pathology specimens daily
    - Assist pathologists in preparing frozen section slides
    - Receive and process surgical pathology cases as required
    - Manage specimens and inventory in the gross room and frozen section room

    The position is available as either full-time or part-time, with working hours between 12:30 pm and 5 pm, Monday to Friday.

    Requirements:
    Experience:
    - Minimum one year of grossing experience, including complex specimens and preferred MOHS technician experience

    Education:
    - Bachelor's degree or higher from an approved NAACLS accredited program

    Licensure/Certification:
    - Current PA (ASCP) certification
