    Air Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their own industrial production.

    We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S.

    supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries.

    Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas.

    Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination.

    We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers.

    How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?The Operational Technician Intern will assist experienced plant operators in the day to day operation of an ASU or SMR plant.

    Responsibilities include plant start up and plant shut down, troubleshooting, and oversight and planning of routine and repair maintenance.

    Our Operational Technician Internship Program is designed to introduce technical school students that are close to graduation or recently graduated to Air Liquide and the industrial gas industry.

    This training program is up to 6 months in duration.

    The objective of the internship is to give participants a well rounded view of Air Liquide while giving relevant training that will launch the participant into their future career with Air Liquide.

    At the conclusion of the training, the participant can apply and interview for available permanent positions with Air Liquide that are a fit with the participant's skills and training.

    Zero Personal First Aid/Injuries and meets or exceeds the company's safety goals, standards and policies and Fully supports, accurately completes, maintains, and instills corporate Health, Safety, and Environmental policies & procedures and relevant documentation at the facility in operating and maintaining responsibility for a safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly facility.

    Actively demonstrates identified skill sets in daily operational duties, in addition actively is pursuing its own growth and career development through self-initiative practices and working with resources made available as coordinated with supervisor.

    Troubleshoot plant instrument/electrical and control system problemsWork closely with contractors & monitor contractor work qualityRecord keeping and documentation
    • Ensure the work and documentation meets OSHA, EPA, DOT, and FDA requirementsDemonstrates basic computer (PC) skills and ability to use required software computer applicationsActively participate in RCAs as needed.
    Conducts acceptance test/start-up reviews with Operations & MaintenanceParticipate in the execution & improvement of the facility's PMs.
    • Execute work orders, identify corrective maintenance activities & enter work orders into the CMMS.
    Maintain test equipment calibration & associated records.
    Maintain equipment records in both the CMMS & written formUnderstand and Maintain facility P&ID schematics.
    Assist Maintenance Coordinator in maintaining equipment manuals.
    Be familiar with Reliability Center & Corporate standards.
    Rack in/out breakers & switchgear as necessary.
    Perform routine inspections on equipment as per maintenance management standards.

    Flexible work hours that may include 24/7 on call, rotating shifts and/or ability to monitor plant operations via laptop computer and respond to alarms.
