    As a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer at KQED, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our infrastructure and deployment processes. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to streamline our CI/CD pipelines, optimize our cloud infrastructure, and ensure the reliability and scalability of our systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Spinnaker, and Apache, along with a strong background in infrastructure automation and software development.

    This role will work hybrid between working in KQED's newly renovated headquarters and working remotely. KQED requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.


    Salary Range: $121,000- $152,000 AnnuallyEssential Functions:

    • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Kubernetes, Docker, and Spinnaker to automate deployment processes.
    • Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters to support our microservices architecture, ensuring high availability and performance.
    • Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring tasks.
    • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure code quality throughout the SDLC.
    • Implement best practices for security, compliance, and disaster recovery in cloud environments.
    • Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks and reliability issues.

    Other Job Functions:

    • Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely support for production incidents.
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and recommend innovative solutions to improve our infrastructure and processes.


    Knowledge/Experience Required:

    • 3 years of equivalent experience in related technologies


    Knowledge/Experience Desired:

    • Background in CS and work experience in a similar role
