    This DFW based infrastructure and construction services industry leader has an immediate 6+ month contract opportunity for an Environmental Health and Safety Training Coordinator. This position requires working onsite in North Dallas Monday-Friday and may require traveling to North Richland Hills, possibly once or twice a week. The Safety and Training Coordinator oversees and ensures compliance of the health, safety and training processes. Will take into consideration industry regulations and the specific risks in the workplace to adherence. Requires great computer skills and an understanding of learning management and telematic software systems.

    The Safety and Training Coordinator is responsible for promoting site safety and must be forward-thinking, energetic, and a self-starter. Assigned tasks include but are not limited to planning, coordinating, report writing and producing, chart development and communicating safety regulations while serving as the company's point of contact. Candidate must also be able to communicate effectively via email and in person.

    Contract Duration: 6+ Months (with chance for extension and possible conversion)

    Required Skills & Experience


    • Experience using and managing KPA Safety Learning Management System, highly preferred.


    • Experience implementing, using, and managing a Telematic System, highly preferred.


    • Strong computer skills with standard office platforms and other software are necessary.


    • Strong collaboration and networking abilities when it comes to working with other functions/department leaders and personnel.


    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.


    • Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Valid Texas Driver's License, State automobile insurance, and acceptable driving record.

    What You Will Be Doing


    • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Safety Training Learning Management software, KPA.


    • Launch, through KPA software, new and recurrent safety training assignments per job function.


    • Assign monthly training requirements and leverage KPA to track training completion; this includes for new hires and current employees.


    • Add new training assignments to the system as needed.


    • Manage and update KPA training database as needed.


    • Generate training completion reports and share it with key stakeholders.


    • Develop Power Point presentations and convert to voiceover.


    • With the guidance of HSE Manager or HSEQ Director, assist in the development of procedures and training materials.


    • Manage Telematic System


    • Build employee and fleet data base into the Telematic software.


    • Update and manage system conditions for monitoring employee driving behavior.


    • Track drivers' performance.


    • Use Telematics to generate reports and share them with key stakeholders.


    • Perform other projects, tasks, activities, reports as indicated by HSEQ Director such as, but not limited to Safety Committee participation, develop, and deliver presentations for leadership meetings, develop dashboards using software capabilities and assist with integration and ease of use with other software.
