Sr. Stress Engineer/Analyst - Webster, United States - Insight Global

Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Stress Analyst/Engineer for a commercial space client to sit in Webster, TX.

This person will be working with the structural and mechanical team to perform classical analysis of flight hardware systems in an effort to ensure structural integrity of spacecraft hardware and life critical safety measures during space flight missions.

This person will work closely with flight software, avionics, hardware and life support teams to ensure structural and mechanical integrity of the spacecraft during the mission.

Must Haves:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering (mechanical, aerospace or civil engineering)
10+ years of experience in structural or mechanical engineering, or similar role.
Experience with NASTRAN
Experience with fracture mechanics and damage tolerance analysis
Experience with scripting (Python preferred but not required)


Plusses:
Experience with spaceflight hardware design
Experience with Atlassian suite
