is currently seeking a

Building Controls Engineer

in

Johnstown, PA .

This role will focus on the design and review of building management/automation systems with a primary focus on controls for HVAC systems.

As a Building Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for the design of building controls systems as well as testing or commissioning, upgrades, and conversions of existing building control systems.

We are a full-service engineering, design and construction management firm. Currently in our 75th year of operation, the H.F. Lenz Company offers a full range of engineering services for private and public buildings and facilities. Our high-profile projects span the nation, with the heaviest concentration in the Northeast.

Primary Responsibilities:
Design new and retrofit HVAC and/or automation / control systems.
Collaborate with HVAC design engineers to understand the system components and controls needs.
Consult with clients and building owners to understand the building needs and any control systems issues or challenges.

Perform construction administration for controls projects, including contractor, owner and client coordination, site surveys and punch lists for systems designs.

Participate in RFI's, design and submittal reviews.
Interface with clients, owners and contractors at meetings.
Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field of study from an ABET accredited college or university.
0-5 years of experience with the design of mechanical / HVAC and/or automatic temperature control systems.
Experienced in 3D modeling, such as AutoCAD, Revit or Inventor.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Ability to meet project deadlines and provide outstanding service to clients.
Ability to work in and foster a team environment with minimal supervision.
