Job DescriptionPosition Qualifications/Requirements:
• Degree/Education : See Exhibit 5: Associates Degree of Nursing. Graduate from a college or
university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on
Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or as otherwise identified in the TO.
• Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support : : Must have and maintain current certification in
Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) and
certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by the AHA or Advanced Life Support by ARC.
• Experience: Recommend 3 years in-patient nursing experience. Prior cardiology, telemetry, conscious
sedation experience preferred. Must have experience using pharmacological agents in patient treatment
and knowledge, the desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use as well as the accurate
administration of the pharmacologic agent, including dosage calculations.

Registered Nurse as required in the TO.
Specific Duties:
TYPE OF WORK. The duties include but are not limited to the following:
a. Booking appointments, coordinate follow on care between the 673d Medical Group and other medical facilities, input results in the electronic medical record (EMR), conduct telephone consultations, process referrals, be proficient in EMR usage or become proficient through on-the job training, conduct pre-operative care, assist with procedures to include set-up and post operative care for transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), cardioversions, and other specialized testing related to cardiovascular medicine
b. Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness.
c. Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF.
d. Perform physical exam and health histories.
e. Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
f. Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.
g. Direct and supervise care provide by other healthcare professionals.
h. Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.
i. Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations.
j. Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the
healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
k. Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.
l. Perform nursing services identified in the TO.
m. Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes
