Job Description:
The Program Manager is accountable for the personnel, operational and financial management of assigned program(s) to ensure the delivery of competent, compassionate and efficient clinical care, promotion of research and clinical education
Job Duties :
Manages Institute for Human Infections and Immunity (IHII) and Department of Microbiology and Immunology (M&I) intramural funding programs for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty.
Application review planning and executionAward process, including notifications and tracking.
Progress and final report gathering and tracking.
Provides consistency and continuity across IHII's intramural funding programsManages IHII membership process and trackingPlanning and execution of all IHII, and McLaughlin events (e.g., colloquia, retreats, symposia, review sessions, receptions, etc.)
Responsible for coordinating all the moving parts involved in ensuring events go smoothly, including choosing venues, catering services, handling day of logistics.
Liaise with program directors to identify their needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
Manages, creates, and edits digital communications, including websites, social media, GNL digital signage, advertisements, and electronic communication.
Assists with grant editing and formatting, as needed.
Manages and maintains global email distribution lists for IHII.Consults, designs, and provides advanced technical and creative digital and graphic expertise for special projects as assigned by Chair/Director and/or Administrator.
Serves as back-up Key Control Officer for the Galveston National LaboratorySalary Range:Commensurate with Experience
