    Description


    Under limited supervision, plans, directs, and evaluates total patient care and functions in the transport environment on a particular shift, in accordance with established corporate philosophy.

    Orients, trains, and manages transport personnel.

    Relates effectively with other shifts for continuity of care; maintains positive relations with referring and receiving departments and nursing units; participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies, procedures, and skills of personnel.

    Must be eligible for medical command in the Commonwealth of PA. State Driver's License must be in good standing, 3 points or less.

    Drives and operates specially equipped emergency vehicles to specified locations at a safe and controlled speed, in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations and standards.

    EMSVO Credentialing required within the first 3 months of hire date. FP-C or CCP-C Credentialing required within 2 years of hire date. NRP and ATLS or ATCN Credentialing required within 1 year of hire date.

    Must meet height requirement equal to or less than 6'5' and weight requirement equal to or less than 220lbs without flight gear/uniform.

    Education
    High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
    Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

    Experience
    3 Years experience (min. 4000 hours) in ALS/911 or equivalent setting as an EMT-Paramedic (Required)
    1 Year experience performing critical care transports (Preferred)
    Previous flight (rotary wing) experience (Preferred)

    License/Certifications
    ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)
    BLS - Basic Life Support (Required)
    EMT-P - Paramedic Certification (Required)
    DRIVER - Drivers License (Required)
    EMSVO - EMS Vehicle Operator (Required)
    FP-C - Cert Flight Paramedic (Required) or CCP-C - Critical Care Paramedic Cert (Required)
    NREMT - Natl Reg. Emergency Med Techs (Required)
    NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Required)
    APLS - Advanced Pediatric Life Suport (Required) or PALS - Pediatric Adv. Life Support (Required)
    ITLS - Internl Trauma Life Support (Required) or PHTLS - PreHospital Trauma LifeSupport (Required)
    ATCN - Advanced Trauma Care for Nurse (Required) or ATLS - Advanced Trauma Life Support (Required)
