    Open Until FilledThe Raymore-Peculiar School District is seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of School Nurse at Timber Creek Elementary School for the school year.

    The job of school nurse is done for the purpose/s of meeting the individual health needs of students; incorporating health care plans; complying with the laws; providing appropriate care for ill, medically fragile and/or injured students; providing health information and serving as a resource to teachers, staff, and administrators; and identifying health problems. Candidates must have a strong background in nursing and also provide high quality customer service to students, staff and parents. Specific duties include but are not limited to:
    • Administering and/or facilitating screenings
    • Assessing situations involving students' safety, abuse (physical, sexual, drug) and other health related issues for the purpose of identifying problems, referring for proper treatment and complying with legal requirements.
    • Administering first aid, medication, and specialized medical treatment
    • Developing health care plans
    • Maintaining students' confidential files and records
    • Collaborating with parents, students, health care providers, and/or other agencies for the purpose of promoting needed treatment, securing information and complying with legal requirements.
    Qualification: Current license as either an LPN or RN required.
    Salary: Dependent on license
    • LPN - $ $20.42 per hour dependent upon previous experience.
    • RN - $40,406 - $48,289 per year dependent upon previous experience.
    • 186 work days and 8 paid holidays
    Benefits: This is considered a full time position with benefits available after 60 days of employment.
