Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel
RN for a Medical Surgical/Neuro Stepdown position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring prior travel experience and a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience.
Short-term acute care hospital setting at a Level I Trauma Center
Medical Surgical/Neuro Stepdown unit
Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3x12-hour shifts)
Team nursing ratios (details to be discussed with manager during interview)
On-call required as needed
Weekend work required as needed; weekend block schedule may be considered
Floating may occur between like units and campuses within 20 miles of each other
Cerner EMR experience preferred
13-week contract
Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; RTO requests made after an offer is extended will not be accepted
If the assignment includes Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's, candidates must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays if all three fall within the assignment, or at least 1 if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment
Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
Vaccination status must be provided
Requirements
Active
RN license — TN license or NLC Compact license required; no pending licensure accepted
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg
RN experience required; 3+ years preferred
Level I Trauma Center experience required
Large hospital experience required
At least one completed prior travel nursing assignment required
ADN degree required (BSN not required for this position)
Valid Driver's License required for consideration
