    Directs and coordinates fabrication, installation, operation, application, maintenance and repair of mechanical or electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, engines and systems | Ensures that quality levels and industry standards are maintained or improved in the manufacturing process | Oversees installation, operation, maintenance and repair of equipment such as centralized heat, gas, water and steam systems | Evaluates mechanical products to determine their cost effectiveness and efficiency | May evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctionsMajor Position Responsibilities
    Applies engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment.
    Reads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
    Confers with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.

    Researches and analyzes customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.

    Specifies system components or directs modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
    Investigates equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.

    Basic QualificationsRequired Education:
    Associate's Degree OR Equivalent Combination of Relevent Education &

    Experience Preferred Education:
    Bachelor's DegreeDiscipline/Major: Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering related degree required

    Additional Certifications:

    Years and Area of Experience (required for the role): 3-5 years experience in a relevant functionKnowledge, Skills & Abilities: Oral and written communication skills.
