- Desirable to have a degree or certification in Drafting and Design.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually.
- Minimum 5 years of Design experience in the aerospace, automotive, or mechanical engineering fields.
- Advanced drafting skills and working knowledge of drawings.
- Full understanding of the model-based definition of the product.
- Familiarity with ASME Y , ASME Y , and ASME Y or similar standards) symbols and definition methods, such as Geometry Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Proficient in SolidWorks 3D CAD. Proficient in SolidWorks PDM is desired - Training will be provided if required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must possess good written and oral presentation skills and the ability to communicate ideas effectively to coworkers and senior management.

Description
Our client is an Aircraft company based out of Albany, Georgia. They specialize in small one-man aircraft, specifically crop duster airplanes for agriculture use. They do it all when building these aircraft, from start to end. Several different departments do their own fabrications, working with CNC positions and sheet metal, They also have their own Machine shop, where all components and tooling are created. They also have an assembly shop where they work on smaller components to build engine transmissions, all in-house at this one location. So you get to see the entire process from the beginning to the final flight test

$75-90k a year, depending on your experience.
At your 12 month mark, you will get a 10% salary increase as well.
Monday - FridayWork begins about 8am. There is usually overtime every week.

Job Summary:
As an Aircraft Structural Design Engineer, you will Develop 3D models and draft complex detailed drawings, sketches, and profiles used in the planning and construction of the aircraft.
Able to follow directions from senior management to conceive of or create form and design variations for consideration.
